All of the wonderful, loving cats and kittens at the Cashiers-Highlands Humane Society are ready for their forever homes, and most of all – they want to go home with you! Our trained cat adoption counselors will help you choose the right feline friend to complete your family. All adoptable pets at CHHS are spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on all age-appropriate vaccinations and flea/heartworm preventative.

CHHS brings people and pets together by reaching out to local schoolchildren with Humane Education programs teaching responsible pet ownership and the importance of spay/neuter, and brightening the days and lifting the spirits of elderly citizens in our community with Pet Therapy and visitation. Established in 1987, CHHS is a private 501(c)(3)(Federal Tax ID: 58-1798769) not-for-profit animal welfare no-kill shelter. We receive no federal, state, or county tax dollars, and no funding from any national animal organization.
